Well, hello there.
Some of you might have remembered a site by the name of Finest KO making a name for itself in late 2004 and early 2005. It closed down due to server problems and real life getting in the way of things. This site, also named Finest KO, looks similar to that old site, doesn't it?
Well, that's because it's the same site. Yep, after a two-year layoff, Finest KO, the premiere CvS2 website on the Internet, is back in business. Why come back now? It seems that with Evo 2007 looming, a lot of CvS2 players are coming out of retirement, myself included. Seeing as how I have a stable server now, and a new personal website to go with it, I decided to dust off the old FTP folder and get things going again, just like the good old days. Let me tell you, it feels damn good.
Here's the deal. Right now, everything in the features section, which includes stage profiles and the much-missed character profiles and complete frame data section, is working perfectly. I will make no guarantees as to how quickly I'll update the character section, but I'm motivated to do it again. Who knows, I may just finish the damn thing. All other sections, except for the video page, are as they were when the site closed down some two years ago. It's there, but outdated. Expect those areas to be cleaned up in the near future.
As for the video page, it's going to be offline for a while. I still have my Canon Powershot S400 to take some video, and I will start doing so more often for casual play at FFA, but right now I just want to get everything else on the site working before I get back to doing that. Since the advent of YouTube, taking and making video has gotten a lot easier. Expect to see TY videos integrated into the site eventually.
That's all I have to say for now. For many of you, this will be your first visit to FinestKO.com. I hope you like what you see here, because all of it was HTML-coded by my own hand. I'm very proud of this site, and I ask that you enjoy it for what it's worth. That's how I look at CvS2, and I hope that my little corner of the Internet can make more people see the game the same way I do.
